Welcome to the William J. Pharr Family YMCA. A YMCA since October 15, 2008; the facility has been serving the McAdenville Community since 1949. The facility now includes a full line of state of the art cardiovascular equipment, a cardio theatre, a newly resurfaced full size basketball court, a state-of-the-art Fitness Center, a beautiful ball room, male and female locker rooms, athletic fields, state of the art large kitchen and child-friendly Childwatch center.

Youth Attendance Policies
- Youth under age 12 must be accompanied by a parent or legal guardian while at the Y.
- Youth ages 12 - 15 may not be on the YMCA grounds for more than 4 hours without adult supervision, unless enrolled in a YMCA staff-supervised program.
- Fitness Center, Pool, and Gymnasium rules are posted and must be observed at all times.
- Proper and respectful behavior at the Stowe Family YMCA is expected at all times. Failure to follow staff instructions may result in suspension of membership and program privileges or dismissal from the YMCA.
The YMCA is a membership organization open to all people. Through our annual Scholarship Campaign, the YMCA provides financial assistance for memberships and programs based on the needs of the applicant and the availability of funds. Individuals needing financial assistance may apply at the Member Services desk.

If you work for a company that is a Business Partner of the Gaston Family YMCA, you may qualify for benefits ranging from 50% off the joiners fee to significant discounts for programs and other benefits.

Bringing a Guest
Members are encouraged to bring guests when they visit the Y. Members will receive 3 guest passes per unit per year as part of the membership package. Members may purchase additional guest passes at $10 per guest.
Guests who wish to use the facility and are not accompanied by a member will be charged $15.00 per visit. Guests must complete and sign the Guest Waiver form and show ID. A responsible adult, parent or guardian must sign the Guest Waiver form for guests under 18. Guests under 16 years of age must have a responsible adult present in the facility.
Prorated memberships may be sold in one-week increments for short-term guests who reside outside a 50-mile radius, or other as approved by Membership Director.
If the guest becomes a member within 30 days of visiting the YMCA, those guest fees will be applied toward the joining fee.
