Association

Race Timing Coordinator – Under the direction of the Wellness Director and consistent with the Christian Mission of the YMCA, the race timing coordinator will be responsible for the execution of all aspects of timing services for YMCA and community road races, including serving as main point of communication for all race directors and participants.

Race Timing Support Staff –  Under the direction of the Wellness Director and consistent with the Christian Mission of the YMCA, the race support staff will be responsible for the execution of all aspects of timing services for YMCA and community road races for 15-20 weekends per year.

Cherryville YMCA Location

Afterschool Counselor – Under the Supervision of the Site Director and consistent with the Christian mission of the YMCA, the Afterschool Counselor will be responsible for the supervision, behavior management and programming of the participants in the Afterschool Program. Robinwood Lake YMCA Location

Play Center and Adventure Zone Coordinator – 

Under the Supervision of the Senior Program Director and consistent with the Christian mission of the YMCA, the Play Center and Adventure Zone Coordinator will be responsible for the supervision, fun, behavior management and programming of the participants in the Play Center and Adventure Zone areas. Afterschool Counselor – 
Under the Supervision of the Site Director and consistent with the Christian mission of the YMCA, the Afterschool Counselor will be responsible for the supervision, behavior management and programming of the participants in the Afterschool Program. Program Bus Driver – Under the direction of the Afterschool Director, or his/her designate, and consistent with the Christian mission of the YMCA and in cooperation with other YMCA staff, the Afterschool Bus driver will be directly responsible for the safety and supervision of participants while being transported on a 60-72 passenger Gaston County Family YMCA bus. Must have a valid CDL license.

Lifeguard – Under the supervision of the Aquatics Director, and in accordance with the Christian mission of the YMCA, the lifeguard is responsible for ensuring the safety of the facility patrons by preventing and responding to emergencies. Send resumes or completed applications to Candace Hyde at  chyde@gastonymca.org

Stowe Family YMCA Location

Afterschool Counselor – Under the Supervision of the Site Director and consistent with the Christian mission of the YMCA, the Afterschool Counselor will be responsible for the supervision, behavior management and programming of the participants in the Afterschool Program. Cycle Instructor – Under the supervision of the Wellness Director, and in accordance with the Christian mission of the YMCA, the cycle instructor teaches classes that follow cycle instructor certification guidelines and YMCA guidelines. Member Services Staff – Under the Supervision of the Associate Executive Director, and in accordance with the Christian mission of the YMCA, the part time Member Services Staff is directly responsible for building member relations, operations at the member service desk, proper phone etiquette, and customer service at a high level. Pharr Family YMCA Location
