Youth Swim Lessons promote stroke development, personal water safety, water sports, rescue and personal growth are included. During all swim lessons, participants and instructors find opportunities to learn and demonstrate the YMCA core values, (Caring, Honesty, Respect, Responsibility and Faith).

Ages: 3 – 5 years
In addition to teaching water safety, our Preschool Swim Lessons cultivate self-esteem, encourage character development and offer long-term fitness benefits. Class ratios are one instructor to six participants.

Ages: 6 – 36 months
Parent and Child Swim Lessons offer a positive and fun environment to foster the parent-child relationship through water exploration. You will meet other parents, expose your child to others their age and help teach your child basic water safety skills. Children must wear swim diapers. Classes are taught by enthusiastic, caring instructors and emphasize making the child feel comfortable in the water. Class ratios are one instructor to twelve parent/child pairs.

Ages: 15+
Walking, running, jumping and a variety of aerobic movements are performed in the shallow end of the pool to increase heart rate and provide both cardiovascular and strength training. A variety of water equipment, dumbbells, noodles, etc. are used for conditioning. Please see the Aquatic Monthly Schedule for class time and dates.

Ages: 15+
Water is an extremely friendly environment for individuals with back, knee, and shoulder problems or with any condition that requires low impact exercise. Enjoy our beautiful pool with a comfortable water temperature of 86 degrees. Stay in shape, learn new exercise techniques and meet new people. Water exercise classes are open to youth 15 years of age and adults, and are free with membership. Registration is not required; just show up and join the fun!

Water resistance is used to give you a great NO impact cardiovascular workout in the deep end of the pool. Feet do not touch the bottom, and flotation belts are provided for comfort and safety. A variety of water dumbbells are used. Please see the Aquatic Monthly Schedule for class times and dates.
