Gaston County Family YMCA Refund Policy

Membership Refund Policy:

1. Membership joining fee is non-refundable.
2. Annual memberships may be refunded on a pro-rated basis, in the case of a relocation, medical condition, or job loss.
3. Bank draft memberships can be terminated at any time and for any reason. The Gaston County Family YMCA requires a cancellation form be completed by the member no later than the last day of the month to stop the next month’s draft.
4. Bank draft or annual memberships cannot be refunded more than 90 days (3 months) of membership, regardless of the member’s non-usage of the
Gaston County Family YMCA.*
5. Current YMCA members who purchase or win a membership (at auction, raffle, etc.) will have the additional membership time added/credited on the end of their current membership expiration date.**
6. Any system credit will be forfeited to the Gaston County Family YMCA after 1 year from date of the system credit. (A System Credit is defined as a payment that was made for a membership and/or program that was not used. The unused payment is applied to the member/participants account to be used for another program or membership payment at a later date.)

Program Refund Policy:

In order to qualify for a 100% system credit or a 75% refund, the member/participant must notify the Gaston County Family YMCA 5 days prior to the start of the program. Any system credit will be forfeited to the Gaston County Family YMCA after 1 year from date of the system credit. (A System Credit is defined as a payment that was made for a membership and/or program that was not used. The unused payment is applied to the member/participants account to be used for another program or membership payment at a later date.)

100% refunds or enrollment in a substitute class will be made in the event a program is cancelled. The Gaston County Family YMCA reserves the right to cancel any program.
