Pickleball

Pickleball is the fastest-growing sport! It is a paddle sport created for all ages and skill levels. The rules are simple and the game is easy for beginners to learn, but can develop into a quick, fast-paced, competitive game for experienced players. Get fit and have fun playing pickleball both in the Stowe Family YMCA and Warlick Family YMCA gymnasium!

Members are asked to come ready to play. The locker room will not be available. Bring your own paddle.

Days and times are organized to separate player skill levels for fair play:

Intermediate and Advanced players (Experienced players)
Monday: 11:00 am-2:00 pm
Wednesday: 9:00 am-12:00 pm

Developing and beginner players
Tuesday: 11:00 am-12:30 pm
Thursday: 10:00 am-12:30 pm

Open to ALL levels
Friday: 10:00 am-1:00 pm

What is pickleball?
Pickleball is a paddle sport created for all ages and skill levels. The rules are simple and the game is easy for beginners to learn, but can develop into a quick, fast-paced, competitive game for experienced players. It is a fun sport that combines many elements of tennis, badminton and ping-pong.

Where will we play?
Games are played in the gymnasium on a badminton-sided court with a slightly modified tennis net.

What type of equipment is used?
We use a pickleball paddle and a plastic ball with holes.
