Cherry Blossom 5k
Ages: All Ages
Join us for the Cherry Blossom 5k Run/Walk! We’ve created a new dog division, so sign up and run with your dog on a fixed length leash. The first dog to finish will win a medal! After the run, join us for a festival and live music by Nantucket. Proceeds benefit Gaston County Family YMCA We Build People Campaign. The We Build People Campaign funds provide financial assistance to families and individuals who need YMCA services, but are unable to afford the fee.

Gymnastics
Ages:
Kindergym for ages 3 & 4.
JuniorGym for ages 5, 6, & 7
SeniorGym for ages 8-11.
YMCA Gymnastics is a class for boys and girls with age appropriate skills in tumbling, floor exercises, bars, vault, and beams! Rolls, handstands, cartwheels, and other fundamental floor exercises are taught all in a fun and non-competitive atmosphere.
Registration: Open
Please register your child and they will be placed in a class that suits their skills. Preferences do not gurantee class days and times.
Days & Times:
Classes are on Mondays, Tuesdays, Wednesdays and Thursdays and run from 3:30 in the afternoon till 6:00 at night. Each class is 45 minutes long.
Cost:
Non-refundable registration fee $20.00 per student
Class fees:
Members – $40.00/month
Nonmembers – $50.00/month
Judo/Jujitsu
Ages: 5 − Adult
Learn self-confidence, self-defense, safety awareness, self-discipline and respect, all while having fun!
Registration: Print our registration form and turn it into the Pharr Family YMCA front desk.

Ballroom Rental
Have your next function in Christmas Town, USA! Great place to have your wedding, reception, Christmas party or your childs 1st birthday party. We have a ballroom that is approximately 36 ft wide and 60 ft long with beautiful hardwood floors and a fireplace with gas logs. Rental includes a kitchen that has ice machine, commercial size refrigerator/freezer, microwave, and stove. We also have chairs and tables available for your use.
Rental Fees:
½ Day Rental:
Member/McAdenville Resident – $100 deposit, $100 rental
Nonmember – $100 deposit $175 rental
All Day:
Member/McAdenville Resident – $100 deposit, $200 rental
Nonmember – $100 deposit, $350 rental
Deposit is returnable if terms upon agreement are met.
There is a $100 fee added for all Weddings and Receptions.
No Joining Fee extended through February!
Join the Gaston County Family YMCA during the month of February and we’ll waive your joining fee! You can save as much as $50 so join today!
Spring Soccer
Ages: 3-11 years
Registration: February 1st through March 12th.

Practice: Once a week on a Monday, Tuesday or Thursday evening beginning the week of April 2nd. Please indicate your availability on the registration form.
Games: Six game season beginning April 21st.
Location: Games and practices will be held at the Pharr Family YMCA
208 Main Street, McAdenville.
Costs: $50 for members and $75 for non-members / $5 per additional sibling
Cancellation: The YMCA will retain 25% of all cancelled registration fees.
Coaches Meeting: Wednesday, March 21st at the Stowe Family YMCA at 6:00 pm
Uniforms: The YMCA will provide a jersey and socks. Players will be required to wear shin guards which are not provided.
Teams: Eight to ten players per team. We are not able to guarantee any team requests.

Afterschool
Ensuring A Brighter Future
The YMCA provides a quality, Christian-oriented experience that is safe, fun, and convenient. Y After School operates throughout Gaston County providing care from school dismissal until 6:00 pm daily. During this time we aim to shape character by modeling, teaching, and reinforcing positive values to all students. The YMCA believes in the character development traits of Caring, Honesty, Respect, Responsibility, and Faith. The YMCA offers two on-site After School locations and fifteen off-site locations throughout the county.

Run Club
Ages: 12 and up
The Gaston County YMCA Run Club is for all members of the community that are interested in joining a small group that shares an interest in running. All experience levels of runners are encouraged to join as there is something for everyone. Visit our Facebook Group to get more information about our updates, runs and events.
Season: Open year around
Cost: There is no cost associated with the Run Club and it is open to both members and nonmembers.
