Spring Youth Soccer

Join the Gaston County Family YMCA for Spring Soccer 2015. Our recreational league is in our fourth season of a new curriculum with proven success, and backed by Belmont Abbey College Soccer Coaches!  This program allows children to progressively develop their skills with smaller team sizes, professional practice plans for coaches, and more opportunities for each child than ever before.  We focus on family involvement, team building, confidence, and developing our core values of caring, honesty, respect, responsibility and faith.  Register online or download the form below.

Ages
Children ages 3 – 12 will play in the following leagues: Under 5, Under 7, Under 9, and Under 13 years old.  Registration is open until March 9th.  Late registration will result in a $10 late fee if space is available.

Y-Readers Program

The Y-Readers program to prevent summer learning loss began in 2013.  This program is designed for children in Title 1 schools who are rising 1st and 2nd graders and testing at or below reading level.  Each summer, these students typically lose three months of the education that they achieved during the school year. Albert’s Story

I remembered that as a child, my brother and I attended the Central YMCA, and I wanted Colton to experience the good things I remembered from attending the Y. So, seeing that the YMCA was blocks away from my home, I knew this was the environment my son needed to be in where he would participate in positive and wholesome activities that would lead to fond memories in his childhood.
